I was apathetic to Philippine politics before. Watching news is really depressing. You just keep on seeing things in a never-ending cycle. Corruption. Lies. Money. Bad economy. Trapos. Scandals. Hypocrites. All over television, radio, print, and in peoples mouths. I thought that we are hopeless. But it hit me, if the newer generations, the youth, like me would have the same thinking. Oh man, we are going to be in a lot of trouble. Why these bad things keep happening? Because we let them. We dont care about the nation, we only care about ourselves, which is undeniably wrong and very selfish of us. GMA is just like one of us. We think about ourselves too much before the country, before others and look at us. We never seem to improve as a whole. Our country, the Philippines, has potentials. We have lots of things that we need to be proud of, like the high biodiversity rate. Many of the flora and fauna are endemic in the Philippines. Our forests, mountains, and seas are rich. We have a very colorful culture. Our people are very talented, skilled, and smart. We are amazing. The Philippines is amazing. Collectively, we are one great nation. We just need to forget our self centeredness. It should reflect in each and every one of us. So the politicians wouldn’t dare to oppose the nation’s values. It’s a shame that we are currently listed as one of the most corrupt countries in the world. But if we work together we can rebuild the image that is tainted. We shouldn’t blame the poticians solely. The change starts in each and every one of us. I believe that there’s still hope for the Philippines. We can change for the better if we want to. :)

We all have to change. Regardless of who sits as president, there is no way he will succeed without us changing our attitude. Then and only then, we can be proud to be Filipino.

Representative ba?

Overseas Filipinos in Vancouver say: OUST GMA!

AN OPEN LETTER TO MRS. ARROYO [PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES]
- Mindanaons are always noted for killings, murder, kidnap, and many other crimes we can name but it is sad to know that it is the weapon of the people who govern the country. So shame on those mindanaoans that they are being used for political interest. Madame don’t be too lustful for power. So PGMA now is the time to protect your people not your friends
